We provide advice with clarity to address concerns clients may not have considered to enable sustainable progress toward their financial goals.

Listening:

Only by asking the right questions and actively listening to you, can we identify and understand your unique opportunities and challenges.  Armed with that knowledge we can then go to work to design and implement the best financial plan or investment strategy for you.

And we keep listening to ensure we remain well informed of upcoming changes in your life to quickly address any issues that may arise as a result.  Our clients routinely tell us that our level of communication is a welcome change from what they have experienced in the past.

ensuring client Understanding:

We do more than design effective financial plans; we want to make sure you have a clear understanding of how and why the plan works for your family.  To do so, we explain complex matters in plain, straightforward language and provide easy to understand reports that clearly show how your portfolio measures up to the goals you’ve established.

Our emphasis on understanding also means being transparent in everything we do.  White Oak is a fee-only firm; compensated only through the fee we receive directly from our clients.  This fiduciary standard of care means that we do not receive direct or indirect benefits or compensation from the sale of products or from any external source.  We have removed any conflicts of interest to do what is best for you; not us.

Total Wealth Management Solutions:

In addition to financial planning and investment management, we work with clients on a range of financial topics.  Because we can’t just design a financial plan and hope everything falls into place.  We are a proactive, on-going resource for our clients for advice on all of their financial issues.  These can range from managing debt to home purchase/renovation decisions to helping a client’s aging parents address senior living considerations.

Throughout life, these circumstances can influence the plans we have made for the future.  Clients need a steady hand to guide them through difficult decisions to ensure their personal financial plan remains intact.

Designed To Provide Truly Individualized Attention:

We manage our growth to maintain a low client to adviser ratio so that we have the time required to provide the customized service you deserve.

Our culture of independence enables White Oak to encourage adviser’s to dedicate the resources essential for customized advise and service.  This structure is unique in the financial services industry; where firms encourage and reward their employees to focus on new business and proprietary products at the expense of client service.

Through managing our growth, we remain the perfect size to serve clients who demand attentive, personalized service from an adviser with the expertise to carefully handle their most complex financial issues.  We couple that with the resources of a larger firm to include online access to your investment portfolio, industry leading research capabilities dedicated financial planning team and award winning technology.

the white oak name

White Oak Wealth Management is named to honor the state tree of Maryland.

The white oak tree symbolizes the many benefits of developing and following a disciplined financial plan. White oaks grow from tiny acorns into enormous trees over a period of years, just as an investment portfolio does when managed according to an individual’s needs and goals.

White oaks experience varying levels of annual acorn production. However, every two to five years a White Oak will produce a “mast” year in which it produces up to 10,000 acorns
